Piston and Piston Casing for Compressor

This project involved reverse engineering an out-of-production piston and casing design for a compressor system. We optimized the design for structural integrity, functionality, and cost-efficiency. Key improvements included redesigning support ridges in the piston and ribbing in the piston casing for enhanced durability, reduced material expenditure, and optimizing heat dissipation, adapting the design for machining manufacturing methods (originally intended for cast aluminum). The result is a high-performance, cost-effective solution that meets modern standards while preserving the original functionality.
